The Citizens VS Najib

ENG VERSION
The Citizens vs Najib

1. To blunt the move for his removal as PM, Najib tries to make the citizens’ movement as opposition parties’ movement. It is not. The signatories of the citizens declaration are ordinary people, mostly not members of any political parties.

2. And he tries to make out that I have joined the opposition. He disregarded the fact that the declaration is made not in the name of opposition political parties but in the name of the citizens of Malaysia. I am in this movement as a citizen, not as a member of any party. I have not joined any party.

3. The citizens do not call for the overthrow of the Government but only for the overthrow of Najib as PM. If Najib is dropped the majority party will still be BN. With this BN will continue to hold power and have the right to appoint a new Prime Minister. And of course the Prime Minister chosen will not be like Najib who practices corruption to win elections and support from the party.

4. When a Sarawak held the state elections and BN won, Najib claimed personal victory as Prime Minister. Actually, the victory was due to Adenan’s policies that gives priority to Sarawak.

5. When I insisted that the BN be defeated in the by-elections in the Peninsular, the reason is so that Najib cannot claim the victory as an acceptance of his Prime Ministership.

6. This by-election is a contest between people and Najib. It is not a contest between any opposition party and BN. Therefore I urge the people to defeat Najib’s candidate. BN’s defeat will mean victory of the people against Najib’s despotic rule.

7. The people should support whoever is contesting BN as the people’s choice. But if people put more than one candidate, discord among the people will give victory to BN.

8. People should only nominate one candidate. Unfortunately if Hadi nominates a PAS candidate this will also help BN, if people also nominate candidates against BN and PAS.

9. Therefore to avoid disunity among the people, if PAS were to nominate a candidate, people need to support the PAS candidate so that PAS secures a big win and BN loses badly.

10. Even if PAS were to win, it could not form a Government. It will still be subservient to the BN which has a higher representation.

11. PAS may also pretend to nominate a candidate but when people do not field any candidate, PAS will withdraw so that the BN will win uncontested. We would not be surprised if PAS will do this. Hadi has apparently accepted “Cash is King” Najib even though the world regarded him as a highly corrupted leader. That is Hadi’s choice and of course that is his right. That is why PAS is disjointed.

12. People need to remember that the movement to topple Najib is a people’s movement. It is not a movement of any particular opposition party. It is only when Najib is no longer the PM then democracy can be restored and all parties can fight for their claims. After the return of democracy the people can decide what claims they will support, and who will lead the country.
